Getting Preapproved.
Getting pre-qualified is NOT the same as getting pre-approved, which is a much more thorough process. Pre-qualifying can give you an estimate of what you can afford, based on some simple information. Pre-approval, however, is a conditional commitment from your lender stating they will provide a loan for you up to a certain amount. This is an important step because it shows sellers that you’re serious. Another advantage is that you will know the exact amount you can afford, which will prevent you from falling for a home you can’t afford!
Finding Your Agent.

Home Search.
We suggest writing down a list of your top 10 priorities. If you have a partner, each of you should write your lists separately, then compare and negotiate a combined list of 10 priorities. Realistically, the home you ultimately purchase may not meet all of the items on your list, but going through this process helps provide clear goals and confirms both you and your partner are on the same page. This process also helps your agent understand your priorities.
Submitting Offers.
Submitting an offer with typos and open-ended terms can result in disaster, but our experienced agents will work with you to craft a polished, strategic offer. We work hard to get our clients the most favorable terms & price.
Escrow.
Once you open escrow, your agent will guide you through each step, including obtaining an appraisal, hiring an expert to complete an inspection, securing a loan (if needed), obtaining a title report, and more.
